Torque wrenches

Choose a calibrated range for the fastener.

Choose for the task

TRQ50402 covers 20–200 in-lb for smaller specified fasteners. The 3/8-inch GEARWRENCH 85062M covers 10–100 ft-lb, while TRQ52403 extends to 40–300 ft-lb. Choose around service specifications, access and the drive tools you already own. The ranges overlap in places but use different units; buying the largest wrench will not cover every small fastener.

What to check before buying

The TEKTON selections document dual-direction measurement. GEARWRENCH declares ±3% clockwise accuracy at 20–100% of full scale; do not extend that accuracy claim to every lower setting or reverse-direction use. Confirm the specified unit, direction and sequence. An impact-wrench setting does not establish final torque.

GEARWRENCH 85062M

3/8-inch micrometer torque wrench

A mid-range torque wrench that fills part of the gap between a small inch-pound wrench and the larger 1/2-inch TEKTON. Its 3/8-inch drive is useful where socket size, access and service torque suit this range.

Check units and tightening direction. The published accuracy declaration covers clockwise use in the upper 80% of full scale; do not assume identical accuracy at every low setting.
