Several profiles, not one universal bit

The set combines SAE/metric hex and ball-end hex with Torx, tamper-resistant Torx and external Torx. Identify the fastener before selecting a bit: profiles that look similar are not interchangeable. Check the individual size list against your vehicles and course requirements rather than assuming 84 pieces cover every specialist fastener.

Drive size varies within the set

The documented tools use 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2-inch hand-drive sizes. Have the correct hand tool available for the selected piece and consider the total head and socket height. Adapters add connections and can worsen access. A larger square drive does not establish a different use rating for the bit.

Do not pair it with the cordless impact

GEARWRENCH explicitly limits this set to manual drive. That matters in this directory because the Milwaukee and DEWALT impact wrenches appear nearby. Keep the intended-use distinction visible in the workshop and select separately rated equipment where powered impact use is required. A bit fitting the anvil through an adapter is not evidence that it is suitable.

Where dedicated screwdrivers still help

The 80066H provides dedicated handles for a more limited profile selection, while 32500HD keeps common bits in one handle. The 80742 adds socket-driven profile coverage, not necessarily a better approach for every small screw. Seat the bit fully, maintain alignment and use the specified torque method where required; a broad set cannot compensate for a damaged or misidentified fastener.
