What the reservoir and pump contribute

The MV6840 is a manual-pump pressure dispenser with a 1.2 US gallon / 5 L capacity, gauge and manual relief valve. Its purpose is maintaining a compatible pressurised fluid supply during the specified bleeding process. A large container does not mean all of its contents should be introduced into a vehicle; the service procedure determines the amount and sequence.

The adapter is a primary compatibility question

The documented package includes the seven-adapter MVA6850 kit. Check the actual reservoir neck and application information rather than assuming seven adapters cover every car. A poor seal can compromise the process and spill fluid. Before committing to the kit, identify the adapter required for the vehicles you service and whether the selected offer supplies it or needs another approved part.

Pressure and fluid are not adjustable guesses

Use the vehicle’s permitted pressure and exact fluid specification, together with the bleeder’s instructions and material compatibility limits. The gauge helps monitor pressure; it does not choose a safe value for the system. Keep clean fluid equipment separate from used-fluid containers and avoid cross-contamination. Follow the documented pressure-release procedure before disconnecting the equipment.

ABS routines and the rest of the kit

Some vehicles need a scan-tool-controlled bleed routine in addition to hydraulic bleeding equipment. The MV6840 cannot command valves or pumps, so a supported diagnostic tool may be necessary. Compare the 5610 and MK900-BT by exact function coverage if that is a regular need. The MV7201 extractor is for another fluid-handling method and should not be substituted simply because both products have reservoirs and hoses.
