Storage capacity needs an actual layout

SUNEX lists six locking drawers and a locking top compartment in the 8057XTR. Plan where long tools, socket cases and frequently used hand tools will go before ordering. Overall storage volume does not establish that a particular torque wrench or bulky case fits a drawer. Check current usable dimensions and allow room for drawers and the top to open.

Read the load ratings at the correct level

The manufacturer lists 600 lb overall capacity and 18-gauge steel construction. Do not interpret that overall figure as the capacity of each drawer or the top. Follow the individual load limits and loading instructions, keeping the arrangement appropriate for stable use. A heavy steel body does not remove the risk of poor load distribution or unsuitable drawer use.

Casters and floor conditions are part of selection

The documented arrangement has four swivel casters, two locking. That supports movement around a suitable bay, but not every threshold, slope or damaged floor. Use the locks for stationary work as directed and plan how a loaded cart will move. Do not assume a rolling storage product is appropriate as a seat, work platform or support for vehicle components.

Delivery and the portable-chest alternative

Check freight arrangements, assembly requirements and the final loaded footprint before purchase. GEARWRENCH 83151 suits a smaller tool selection that must be carried, though its loaded weight also needs planning. The SUNEX is the more appropriate format when tools remain in the workshop and storage growth is real. Buy it for that workflow rather than because unused capacity appears attractive.
