Bosch describes a pad-dampening arrangement intended to reduce marking. That is manufacturer design information rather than our verification that a user cannot leave swirl marks. Surface condition, abrasives and the working method remain central to whether the result suits a visible cabinet or trim component.
Configuration and alternatives
Compare the grip, dust connection and complete package against DWE6423 and BO5041K. Cordless alternatives can solve movement needs but add charging requirements when no compatible packs are owned. Customer feedback includes an owner describing successful replacement after wobble, so inspection and support matter as well as initial cost. A canister can be convenient for supported tasks without establishing that every material or work environment needs no additional collection or protection.
Spend on a complete working setup
For a first finishing setup, fund appropriate abrasive grades and a usable collection arrangement alongside the machine. Corded equipment can avoid battery costs at a fixed bench. Existing power equipment can make cordless fitting work practical, but do not start a new platform simply to remove one cable. A detail pad or different removal format should be added only when the work actually calls for it.
