A different grip, not another job

DCS335B puts a barrel grip around the saw body rather than the top handle of DCS334B. That makes it worth considering for controlled curves in cabinet panels or scribed fitting pieces when this grip suits the operator. Start with the position you can comfortably hold and the switch you can reach. Buying both formats makes little sense when one already covers the cuts.

Protect the visible edge

The documented T-shank holder, orbital selection and shoe bevel adjustment let you configure the tool for different supported cuts. They do not guarantee an exposed edge stays clean or square. Pick a blade appropriate to the material and curve, support the panel, and check the result on an offcut. The LED helps visibility; it does not correct blade deflection caused by unsuitable feed.

Value for the battery owner

The B package excludes battery and charger, so an existing compatible DeWalt kit is a clear buying advantage. A first-time buyer should compare a complete package with the corded JS572EBK or existing JS470E option. Put suitable blades and any required extraction connection in the price. Customer feedback includes a positive grip experience and a battery-use tradeoff; neither is our runtime test.
