Buy for a measured access problem

DCS367B is the compact DeWalt option for supported removal where a full-size saw body is awkward. Its documented four-position blade clamp can change the cutting approach, but check the entire blade stroke and clearance beyond the cut. Before opening a wall or removing a fixing, establish what is behind it and which parts may be cut. Shortening the tool does not remove that planning step.

The blade determines much of the job

Nail-embedded timber and clean wood are different accessory choices. Select a blade permitted for the actual material and long enough for the supported cut throughout its stroke. Keep the shoe and workpiece arrangement consistent with the instructions. Owner comments about power and versatility do not establish our cutting speed or vibration result; a compact saw can still be demanding during extended demolition.

Compare compact with the larger role

An existing 20V MAX owner can add the B tool without creating another charging system. DCS389B instead needs FLEXVOLT power and serves a different full-size purchase case. An apprentice doing occasional removal should check employer equipment or hire before buying a demolition setup. Budget for suitable blades and compatible batteries, and leave finish work to the cutting system that produces the required edge.
