Tank size is only one part of the supply
DWFP55130 combines a 2.5-gallon tank with documented 3 SCFM delivery at 90 PSI. That gives a more useful comparison than simply ranking it below a six-gallon machine by tank volume. For trim work, check the nailer’s demand and firing routine against the delivery figure. A small tank still means less stored-air buffer, while maximum pressure is not the setting to apply to the nailer.
Compactness comes with questions
DeWalt describes a compact roll cage, dual couplers and a stated sound figure under specified conditions. We have not measured noise or recovery at a trim station. Its manufacturer-hosted customer average is mixed, with reports that deserve reading alongside the convenient format. A carrying advantage should not eclipse pump durability, service options or whether the supply supports the tools firing at the same time.
Compare complete trim arrangements
MAC100Q offers a smaller low-output setup for light demand; MAC2400 and EC914S serve different delivery and transport priorities. Include hose, couplers, supply and maintenance requirements before comparing prices. Oil-free means no pump-oil routine, not no inspection or tank draining. For isolated repairs, a compatible cordless nailer may avoid air setup altogether; for repeated work, a proven existing compressor can be better value than replacing it for appearance.
