Buy the resawing capacity you will use
JWBS-14SFX-BLK is the JET BLACK version of the 14SFX bandsaw, not the older plain model. The specification table lists 13 inches of cutting height. That opens a different stock-preparation role from the smaller BA3962, but the benefit matters only when larger work recurs. Prepared timber or a shared workshop can be better value for a site carpenter who rarely needs to resaw boards.
The workshop must support the machine
JET documents 115/230V input, a prewired configuration and supply requirements that need checking against the actual installation. Dual four-inch dust ports also imply a different collection plan from a small portable tool. Measure the full work envelope and material support before ordering. Keep generation-specific evidence honest

Price the correct model with suitable blades, collection and any supported mobility arrangement. An upgrade should remove a demonstrated stock-capacity or workshop-production constraint; it should not be bought solely to make the tool collection look more professional.
