A useful fitting addition
XVJ04Z gives an LXT carpenter a D-handle jigsaw for supported openings, curves and fitting cuts. It is complementary to a circular or track saw rather than a replacement for repeated straight sheet breakdown. If your existing saw already covers these cut-outs, the buying case is an access or control problem that the new format solves, not simply another cordless tool to collect.
Control the start and the edge
The manufacturer lists a variable trigger, soft start, electric brake and orbital selection. These are configuration features rather than evidence of our cutting performance. Blade tooth direction and shoe contact matter on finished faces. Try the planned setup on matching scrap, including the bevel if one is needed, before committing a cabinet side or expensive worktop. Do not infer finished-edge quality from strokes per minute alone.
An honest small review sample
Acme’s displayed five-star average comes from one review. That is a useful individual opinion but a very small sample for judging reliability or comparing brands. Price the Z tool with batteries, blades and collection accessories where needed. XVJ01Z offers the alternative barrel grip on the same LXT system; moving to another brand should solve a practical need that these choices cannot.
