A six-gallon tank with another output

EC914S illustrates why two six-gallon compressors should not be compared by tank size alone. Metabo HPT lists 4 CFM at 90 PSI, which is a different delivery figure from DWFP55126. That can justify the comparison for suitable repeated framing or finish work. Establish the combined demand and firing routine before relying on any claim about how many nailers it can support.

Crew claims need the actual work pattern

The manufacturer describes simultaneous nailer applications, but those are not our production tests on your crew’s tools. Hose restrictions, supply pressure and firing rate affect the usable arrangement. One owner praises recovery; another finds noise limits their use in a different task. Read these as context, not universal results. Maximum stored pressure remains distinct from the regulated pressure specified for the nailer and hose.

Do not overbuy light-duty work

For occasional pins or a small brad routine, MAC100Q can be a more manageable comparison if its output is sufficient. MAC2400 offers a different pump and maintenance arrangement at similar headline delivery. Include transport, supply, hose and couplers in the cost. A carpenter should choose extra capacity when it removes a real recovery bottleneck, not because THE TANK branding or a high star average makes every smaller supply obsolete.
