A detail tool beside the brad nailer
NP35A addresses small molding, panel details and supported assembly positioning with headless pins. Its role differs from the existing NT50AE2 brad nailer and NT65MA4 finish nailer. Choose the required fixing before considering the small visible hole. With an appropriate existing air station, a pneumatic pin tool can be a useful addition without funding another battery system.
Read the hardwood feedback in context
Metabo HPT lists pin lengths from 5/8 to 1-3/8 inches, a dual trigger and no-mar tips. Customer feedback includes a report of pins standing proud in hardwood despite adjustment. That is one owner’s experience, not a universal failure claim, but it gives a practical reason to trial the actual material and fastener. Do not compensate with a supply pressure outside the manual’s permitted range.
The complete air purchase matters
Include suitable hose, couplers and regulated air when comparing with the cordless M12 option. The tool-only body price is misleading if none of that equipment is owned. Pins can hold suitable small components while an approved adhesive cures, but do not establish joint strength or replace necessary clamps. For infrequent apprentice work, confirm the task and crew equipment before adding a specialized nailer to the bag.
