Collation is a buying constraint
2745-20 is Milwaukee’s M18 30-degree framing nailer, not the 21-degree 2744-20. That distinction affects the nails you purchase and should be checked against the manual and connection specification. It can suit framing work where a cordless setup removes repeated hose movement. It does not mean a 30-degree nail is interchangeable with every other framing fixing simply because the gun can drive it.
Compare the real production routine
The supported nail-length range is 2 to 3-1/2 inches. The tool’s published firing capability is a manufacturer claim rather than our sustained production result. A crew with suitable compressor capacity may prefer an existing pneumatic setup for repeated work. Carrying a loaded cordless framing tool also differs from using a small trim nailer, so transport and repeated positioning belong in the decision alongside speed.
Use the batteries already working
An existing M18 kit can make the -20 tool easier to justify. A new buyer needs suitable batteries, charger and nails before comparing complete value with DCN920B or NR90AES1. Check the permitted firing mode and actual manual before use. If occasional framing is the only requirement, employer equipment or hire may avoid buying a specialist tool whose cost is difficult to recover.
